WHO Evidence Considerations for Vaccine Policy (ECVP) framework

For global, regional and national vaccine policy development, Dr Kochhar is leading the development of the novel WHO “Evidence Considerations for Vaccine Policy (ECVP) framework”. This will help in alignment between regulators and policy makers and the national, regional and global level on the clinical trial, observational data or evidence needed for policy and program decisions for vaccine candidates, and help mitigate delays in post-licensure vaccine implementation. TB vaccines for adolescents and adults are being utilized as a ‘test case’ to demonstrate the ECVP concept, and develop the first ECVP assessment.
