Dr. Anwar Parvez Sayed is a public health professional and specialized in infectious diseases. He is presently serving UW I-TECH private limited India as Country Director where he is working in collaboration with the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) of India and provides national and regional level technical assistance for strengthening the HIV prevention, care, support, and treatment services to the Kay populations and the people living with HIV. He is a national trainer for NACO training programs since the year 2011 and a member of various guidelines writing groups of NACO. In his previous assignments, he has worked for NACO as ART Regional Coordinator for the states of Maharashtra and Goa. He also served the Indian Red Cross Society's Bel- Air Hospital in the capacity of a consultant HIV TB physician and a clinical trainer. His major areas of interests include training, capacity building, curriculum development, distance learning, health systems strengthening and human resources development.
