Male Circumcision Basic Program Evaluation

This is a mixed-methods study being carried out to 1) assess changes in risky sexual behavior (behavioral disinhibition) over one-year among a longitudinal cohort of recently circumcised men, 2) assess the safety of safe male circumcision (SMC) services by actively monitoring the occurrence of immediate and intermediate adverse events among a longitudinal cohort of recently circumcised men, 3) identify facility-level factors that influence circumcision rates, and 4)  evaluate community attitudes and perceptions related to male circumcision and sexual behavior.
